Activated Charcoal Tank / Fuel Vapor Adsorber (EVAP / AC System) – 4M0201801A
Original fuel vapor adsorber charcoal filter (EVAP / AC system activated charcoal tank – Aktivkohlebehälter), designed for Audi A7 Sportback and S7 (4K / 4K8 generation), as well as Audi A6 C8 (type 4K2 / 4K5 / 4KA) and Audi Q7 / Q8 (type 4M) produced from model year 2018 to 2026, including versions with 3.0 V6 TFSI (55 TFSI / 340 hp) gasoline engines, 2.0 TFSI units, and powerful V8 TFSI variants, based on the modular longitudinal MLBevo platform.
Original VAG fuel vapor control system component. It consists of a sealed plastic housing with enhanced chemical resistance, filled with activated carbon granules, integrated check valves, fuel tank vent hose quick-connect ports, and a regeneration line leading to the N80 solenoid valve in the engine compartment. It is responsible for capturing and storing gasoline vapors from the fuel tank when the vehicle is stationary and controlled combustion of these vapors in the combustion chamber during driving, preventing hydrocarbons from escaping into the atmosphere and the formation of overpressure/underpressure in the tank.

Fitment guarantee and VIN verification
Each fuel vapor adsorber undergoes a flow path clearance check, casing leak test, and quick-connect port condition verification before being prepared for shipping.
Fitment / installation tip: The initial designation 4M0 (fuel supply system group
201) with index A is a standardized fuel vapor adsorber module for the MLBevo platform. Damage, leakage, or clogging of the charcoal filter manifests as a characteristic hiss when opening the fuel cap (excessive underpressure in the tank), a gasoline smell near the rear wheel, problems with the fuel pump nozzle clicking off at the gas station, and Check Engine errors in the engine control unit:P0441 (Fuel tank evaporative emission system: incorrect flow)orP0455 / P0456 (EVAP system leak detected). Using the original OEM filter ensures factory flow rate and proper system regeneration via the N80 valve. Before purchasing, we recommend comparing the OE number on the filter housing label or verifying it using the vehicle's VIN.
