Fitment / installation tip: The initial designation 4K8 (tailgate group 827) with an odd ending 279 clearly defines the left side of the trim, designed precisely for the roof channel geometry and hinge profile of the Audi A7 Sportback body (parts from A6 C8 Limousine or Avant models do not fit due to the different hinge arm construction). The plastic clips of this cover are sometimes broken during improper removal during bodywork, which causes the element to sag, aerodynamic noise at higher speeds, or loss of parts at the pressure washer. The original OEM element snaps securely and firmly onto the hinge arm.
