Original electronic power supply control unit for the headlight LED modules (Leistungsmodul für Tagfahrlicht und Scheinwerfer / LED Ballast Driver Unit), manufactured for the Volkswagen AG / Audi group by Keboda, designed for Audi vehicles and related VAG group models based on the MQB modular floor platform.

The module is primarily responsible for controlling and powering the daytime running light section (DRL – Daytime Running Lights), parking lights, and selected headlight segments in bi-xenon lamps (with an LED strip) and Full LED lamps. The control unit stabilizes the current supplied to the LEDs, protects them from overheating and voltage spikes, and communicates with the vehicle's central onboard network. It is mounted directly on the headlight housing.

Installation and procedural instructions:

  • Mechanical installation: The module is screwed onto the bottom or rear of the headlight using a rubber seal. Ensure that the seal is properly seated, which prevents moisture from entering the headlight.

  • Diagnostics and coding: In most Audi A3 8V applications, the module operates on a “Plug & Play” basis as an actuator control unit on the LIN bus.
