100% genuine OEM part, supplied as factory equipment for models in the Volkswagen ID. family and related VAG electric vehicles based on the dedicated MEB electric vehicle platform (as well as MQB PHEV hybrids). Enables safe charging of the traction battery from a standard household 230V (Schuko / Type E/F) mains socket at 10A (charging power 2.3 kW).

Equipped with an advanced Type A + DC 6mA RCD protection module (integrated detection of AC 30mA and DC 6mA leakage currents), a temperature sensor in the mains plug to prevent the household socket from overheating, automatic relay contact self-diagnostics, and a sealed enclosure rated IP65 / IP67 for indoor and outdoor use.
