Original Bosch MG1CS011 ECU (Engine Control Module) / Engine Control Unit – 0Z7907479AR / 0Z7907479K
Original powertrain electronic control unit (Motorsteuergerät / Engine Control Unit), designed for four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engines with a displacement of 2.0 TFSI 16V with 12V MHEV mild hybrid technology (EA888 Gen 3B / Gen 4 engine family), fitted in the following range of vehicles: Audi Q5 II facelift (FY / FYB / FYT generation / GUB body code – SUV and Sportback), based on the modular longitudinal platform MLB Evo.
VAG OE component manufactured by Bosch from the MG1 generation of control units (MG1CS011 type / Infineon Aurix processor) for petrol engines with direct fuel injection and B-cycle (Budack-cycle) combustion.
-
The designation 0Z7907479K defines the module's base hardware (HW) number,
-
The designation 0Z7907479AR specifies the implemented factory software (SW) number.
The control unit manages TSI/TFSI direct injection, continuous phase and valve lift adjustment via the Audi valvelift system (AVS), electronic turbocharger pressure control (electronic wastegate), an integrated 12V MHEV alternator-starter with energy recuperation function, and a petrol engine particulate filter (OPF/GPF).

Vehicle compatibility (MLB Evo platform – Audi Q5 GUB / FY Facelift):
Audi:
-
Q5 II Facelift / Q5 Sportback (type FY / FYB / trade/homologation designation GUB) – 40 TFSI (204 hp) and 45 TFSI (265 hp) quattro S tronic (model years 2020 to 2026+)
-
A4 B9 Facelift (type 8W / 8WD) – 2.0 40 TFSI / 45 TFSI MHEV versions (model years 2020 to 2026+)
-
A5 F5 Facelift (type F5A / F5F) – 2.0 40 TFSI / 45 TFSI MHEV versions (model years 2020 to 2026+)
-
A6 C8 (type 4K / 4A) – 2.0 40 TFSI / 45 TFSI MHEV versions (model years 2020 to 2026+)
(Note: The GUB body/type code refers to the updated version of the Audi Q5 FY after the facelift, with a new network architecture and 2.0 TFSI MHEV powertrain). Before purchase, the compatibility of the software and hardware numbers with the old unit must be verified.
Installation and programming requirements:
-
Immobilizer and SFD / Component Protection: In updated Q5 FY models (GUB code), the engine control unit is subject to SFD (Schutz Fahrzeug Diagnose) and 5th- generation immobilizer protection. The used control unit will not start the car without a programming procedure.
-
Adaptation procedure:
-
Online module assignment in the authorized ODIS diagnostic system with an active GeKo token is required, or
-
Cloning the contents of the Infineon Aurix processor memory (Full Flash + EEPROM in Bench mode) from the old control unit using a professional ECU programmer.
-
-
Actuator adaptation: After installation and starting, the basic throttle body calibration, turbocharger wastegate actuator, and variable valve lift system (AVS) calibration procedures must be performed.
