Installation and programming requirements:

• Immobilizer and SFD / Component Protection: The Bosch MG1CS008 control unit in vehicles from model year 2020 is subject to the SFD (Schutz Fahrzeug Diagnose) authorization procedure, as well as component and immobilizer protection. The used control unit will not start the engine without being added.

• Adaptation procedure:

  • Online module addition is required via the ODIS diagnostic system with an active GeKo token, or

  • Full cloning of the Infineon Aurix TC298TP processor content (copying Flash + EEPROM sectors in Bench mode) from the old computer using an automotive electronics programmer.

• System synchronization: After installation in the car, synchronization with the Slave (ECU 2) control unit is required, along with the basic setup of the electronic actuators for both turbochargers and throttle valves.
