Fitment / installation tip: The initial 4K0 designation (interior and console equipment group 864 / 376) defines the armrest structural element for the new C8 / 4K platform. This housing transfers the lever forces when lifting and leaning on the armrest lid, and can also be exposed to broken tabs during the forced removal of the rear vents. Damage to this element causes the armrest to become misaligned, the lifting mechanism to stick, annoying creaking under elbow pressure, and unsightly gaps above the rear vent grille. Installing the original OEM housing restores full stability and rigidity to the entire armrest assembly.
