Original electronic control unit for powering and controlling the headlight lighting sections (Steuergerät LED Scheinwerfer / LED Headlight Module), manufactured for the Mercedes-Benz group by Lear Corporation, installed in headlights with LED High Performance technology and advanced matrix adaptive headlights LED Intelligent Light System (ILS).

The component is responsible for precisely controlling the voltage and current of the diode modules: low beams, high beams, daytime running lights (DRL), parking lights, and dynamic LED turn signals. Installation and procedural instructions:

• Mechanical installation: The module is screwed into the lower or rear part of the lamp housing on the seal. Particular attention should be paid to the correct positioning of the seal, which protects the interior of the headlight from moisture and condensation.

• Coding and programming (SCN Coding): In the Mercedes-Benz architecture, the LED control module requires being added to the vehicle after replacement with another unit. Variant coding (SCN Coding) or diode matrix curve calibration using the diagnostic system Xentry / DAS Diagnosis with online access or a compatible advanced tester is required. Without coding, the module may report a lighting error on the instrument cluster or fail to activate the full range of ILS adaptive functions.
