The passenger side arm has a specific arc profile and length adapted to the curvature of the window sloping towards the A-pillar. The most common reason for replacement is the shearing of the tapered mounting spline in the arm base (usually due to operating the wipers blocked by a thick layer of snow or ice) or deformation of the hinge axis. Similar to the left side, disassembly and installation should only be carried out after activating the wiper service position in the MMI system, which protects the edge of the aluminum engine cover from paint chips.
