It is responsible for continuous and extremely precise measurement of exhaust gas temperatures at critical points in the exhaust manifold (in the turbocharger, catalytic converter, or DPF particulate filter area). It transmits parameters in real time directly to the engine control unit (ECU), allowing for precise fuel dosing control, safe DPF filter regeneration, and effective turbocharger protection against overheating.
