Original Ambient Temperature Sensor with Mounting Bracket – 8Z0820535A
Original factory ambient temperature sensor with a dedicated mounting bracket / positioning clip in the front bumper area (ambient air temperature sensor in the bumper grille or radiator frame – Ambient Air Temperature Sensor with Bracket), designed for Audi A7 Sportback, S7 and RS7 (4K / 4K8 generation), as well as Audi A6 C8 (type 4K2 / 4K5 / 4KA) manufactured from 2018 to 2026, including models with 3.0 V6 TFSI (55 TFSI / 340 hp), 2.0 TFSI (40/45 TFSI), S7, RS7 variants, and TDI diesel engines with Mild Hybrid (MHEV 48V) systems, based on the modular MLBevo longitudinal platform.
Original factory component of the VAG group air conditioning and comfort electronics system. Equipped with a precise NTC-type measuring element (negative temperature coefficient thermistor) enclosed in a sealed, waterproof plastic housing resistant to direct water jets, road salt, snow, and car wash chemicals. Supplied with an original flexible snap-fit bracket, which stabilizes the sensor in the dynamic airflow zone in front of the radiators, isolating it from heat radiation from the engine block. It is responsible for transmitting real-time ambient temperature data to the Climatronic air conditioning control unit (controlling heating, cooling, and compressor operation), the onboard computer (Virtual Cockpit display), and safety systems (black ice warning below +4°C).

Fitment guarantee and VIN verification
Each sensor undergoes laboratory testing of its resting resistance and circuit functionality across a variable temperature range before being prepared for shipping.
Fitment / installation note: Catalog number 8Z0820535A (air conditioning system group
820/535) is a proven, precise sensor used in modern VAG group models, including the MLBevo platform. Due to its installation in the lower part of the front bumper, the sensor is most often damaged in front-end collisions or falls off after hitting a block of ice / stone when the factory bracket breaks. A sensor failure is indicated by incorrect readings on the gauges (e.g., constant -40°C or +50°C), which prevents the air conditioning from operating correctly (the control unit incorrectly disables cooling or heats at maximum capacity) and generates an HVAC bus error. The original OEM sensor guarantees precise factory calibration without reading delays. Before purchase, we recommend comparing the OE number or verifying it using the vehicle's VIN.
